My Approach
Holistic and Systemic Approach
A human being is an integrated whole in terms of psychological, emotional, mental, and physical structure.
At the same time, family and other types of relationships, both close and distant, effect the individual's psyche in various ways. The individual also effects the family and other relationships.
When an individual has a psychological, emotional, or relational problem, the family or other close or distant relationships play a role in shaping the problem. Therefore, it is effective for therapy to delve deeper into understanding the nature of relationships and to work on providing tools for the therapist to both improve relationships and prevent similar problems in the future.
This therapy is holistic and systemic; focusing on the individual and developing his or her relationship with the family and the environment.
While holistic and systemic therapy are geared toward healthy and supportive marital relationships. They do not erase the individual development of each partner within the marriage. Holistic and systemic therapy also focus on functional, family relationships and does not undermine the role of older parents, the status of older siblings, the special needs of some family members, and family rituals and values.
